This is a shot that I borrowed - Ok, I totally stole it - from my friend Ken, who almost had a Nat Geo cover with a much better shot from this same position. The funny story behind this is that I hadn't planned on visiting this location, but was headed back to my hotel in a taxi. As we drove past this, I realized what the location was and yelled "Stop the car!!". Fortunately my driver had been taking me to a few locations so he was used to my crazy "stop let's take a picture" moments, and he let me jump out, run over to the spot, take a few pictures, then run back to the cab to finish the drive back to the hotel.
A more traditional Eiffel Tower shot. It's so beautiful at night. It had been raining quite a bit that evening, but it slowed up just long enough for me to get a beautiful picture.
The Champs-Elysee was all lit up for Christmas. The Marriott that I stayed in is the white-lit hotel. It was a beautiful but very cold and wet evening!
